Updates…on everything

Updates, Updates and Updates…

Hi reader – just felt the need to provide you with an update on how things are going, and why activity here seems to be scheduled:

• my wife gave birth to a baby boy – Micah Alexander – on Monday afternoon [excitement plus!] – so ALL my attention has been with them both, while at the hospital and with my older son when home;

• I have become a featured User on Beanhunter this week – on a week when I won’t be reviewing any new coffee places…; and

• if it wasn’t for the skilled baristas at Sazo’n Espresso every morning this week, I would be in serious caffeine withdrawal!!

Happy 80th

WordPress just told me to celebrate because this blog has finally reached 80 posts – which means that I have (nearly) reviewed 80 lattes in the nearly three years of blogging. Ahhh, the calories.  If you have a suggestion for a latte to review, please comment below!  Happy drinking!!

I still haven’t forgotten about the review suggestions from my two readers [Rose and Courtenay] – as soon as I am any near those cafes – consider them reviewed.  They were:

  • Café Komodo – Prospect
  • Giovanni – Mt Barker
  • My Café – Mt Barker
  • Briccone – Adelaide

Bombora@Goolwa Beach – new website

By far the most popular café by review hits so far is Bombora Café @ Goolwa Beach.  This local hot spot recently joined the world wide web – so to check out their website, click HERE.

STOP PRESS – The Little Leaf & Bean – Blackwood, SA – Update

Shop 7/19 Coromandel Parade, Blackwood, SA, 5051

STOP PRESS – I have recently been advised that ‘The Little Leaf & Bean Café’ in Blackwood – reviewed March 17 2010 – has changed ownership and staff.  The review therefore may no longer reflect the true nature of Café.  Former regulars of The Little Leaf and Bean have commented that things have changed dramatically, and they therefore have found alternative coffee supply channels.  I will do my best to review the Under New Management Little Leaf and Bean, the next time I am in the Blackwood area.
